Ukiyo-e Star Wars

I’ve been a huge Star Wars fan for almost as long as I can remember, and I love how much the story is essentially the tale of space samurai. Without a doubt The Empire Strikes Back is one of my favourite films, and there are few scenes more iconic than Luke vs Vader on cloud city (something something father, something something Luke needing to go to the 2nd hand store). For this piece, I wanted to blend that scene into a feudal Japan setting, and then drawn in an Ukiyo-e (wood block print) style.
